You are invited to see Adam Long’s sculptures and add them to your collection at the Art Fair at Queeny Park September 1-3. The fair is always indoors in the air conditioned Greensfelder building. It’s always nice. Rain or shine. There are dozens of great artists there and pleasant, live music while you look and shop. There is a $5 entrance fee (all proceeds go toward scholarships for aspiring student artists) but you can get a $1 off coupon.
Adam will be conducting a two day sculpting workshop in Colorado Springs starting August 2nd hosted by the Hunter-Wolff Gallery. Check out the event posted on their website and call to reserve your spot! 719-520-9494 Hunter-Wolff Gallery, 2510 W. Colorado Avenue, Colorado Springs
Adam Long partnered with the band, Karate Bikini, to produce a music video for their song, Watch Me Go, using one of his Forest Figures created as a puppet along with some other props all created in Adam’s studio. This is Adam’s first major stop motion attempt and it was definitely a learning process. Please be gentle in your reviews.
Thank you to all of the Karate Bikini band members for allowing me to create this with you and for all of the technical expertise to make my photographs into a video!
Adam has made some stills from the video available for purchase on FineArtAmerica.
The Hunter-Wolff Gallery in Colorado Springs, CO will highlight Adam Long as the featured artist for the month of August, 2017. A reception is planned during the First Friday Artwalk, August 4th.
Adam will also be giving a two day Relief Sculpture Workshop while in the Springs! I will teach participants the basics of sculpting, mold making and casting a small relief (wall-hanging) sculpture. Sign up on my mailing list to receive information soon.
